Why Cyclones do not origin at the equator

Cyclones do not origin at the equator ,because the Coriolis force acting the equator is zero .Some factors are responsible for cyclones do not origin at the equator.

Pressure gradient force

As the rate of change of pressure with respect to distance also changes ,as more pressure gradient force more increase in blown of air.

Coriolis force

The earth rotates with tilt angle from west to east ,the water in the northern hemisphere moves rightwards and the water in the southern hemisphere moves leftwards .As the latitude increases coriolis forces increases, thus polar regions have high coriolis force and equators have less coriolis force.

The Coriolis force and the pressure gradient force acting perpendicular to each other ,the pressure gradient forces increases the wind velocity also increases and deflection towards coriolis force causes weaking of Coriolis force at the equator. So,cyclones do not origin at the equator.
