ICAO Standards,Member Countries and Carbon Emission Treaty


ICAO means International Civil Aviation Organization to ensure safe air transportation and following principles to growth and air transportation. It is a UN specialized agency established in April 4th,1947 and its headquarters located in Montreal,Quebec,Canada.

Membership of ICAO


There are 191 countries in ICAO, 190 countries are from UNO and 1 are general country i.e., Cook islands.

ICAO Standards


-It makes certain regulations on airline industry such as Aeronautical Message Handling System (AMHS).

-Every country in the ICAO should follow the regulations, safety guidelines and pressure, temperature, density, and viscosity with altitude in the Earth's atmosphere to make aircraft safely.

Agreement on CO2 Emissions Reduction ICAO
 

The member countries of ICAO to reduce the carbon emissions to control the pollution from Passenger and Cargo airplanes. The agreement between the member countries called CORSIA (the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation),in which they allocate 2% revenue for this.
