How Sand is formed in Deserts

The sand is formed in the deserts by means of chemical exfoliation  ,the rocks in the deserts heated to very high temperatures during the day time, rocks receive very high temperatures and receives high heat.During nights in the deserts temperatures becomes cold and the rocks break into pieces,these process is called weathering continues many number of years.These results in formation of small grain structure called sand.
